This pedestrian footbridge links a highly developed residential area with schools and other facilities over a very busy avenue. It is an important symbolic gatehouse to all visitors entering Nicosia from the south. The structure was designed to be manufactured in small parts that link together in an organic, bone like system. Suspension rods originating from two asymmetric masts brace and stabilize the structure which is anchored on two concrete plinth ramps on both sides of the road.
