'Antithesis' is located within a listed merchant’s store in the historic old town of Limassol, forming part of the Thesis chain of interior design showrooms. Drawing inspiration from the traditional kafeneon, this project aims to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where customers and passers-by can enjoy a variety of offerings, including coffee, wine, small snacks, cakes, and an extensive range of books that are available for purchase or simply for reading. Guests can also enjoy playing TV, backgammon, and reading daily newspapers.

The design preserves the character of the space while introducing modern touches. The stone walls of the showroom are subtly highlighted with coloured light emitted from floor trenches, creating an inviting and warm ambiance.

Instead of traditional artworks, books are displayed on the walls, adding a unique and intellectual dimension to the space, allowing visitors to engage with both the interior design and the atmosphere of the showroom. This innovative approach to displaying books transforms the walls into a cultural feature, while fostering a creative environment that blends commerce, leisure, and social interaction.
