LIMASSOL TOWN CENTRE

HOSPITALITY

This multifunctional venue, located within Columbia Plaza, serves a variety of purposes, including conferences, private parties, exhibitions, and promotions. Designed with flexibility in mind, the space can accommodate up to 400 people for dinner-dance events, seamlessly integrating with the adjacent restaurants and club within the Plaza.

The layout of the venue allows for easy division into four smaller chambers, offering adaptability for different functions. A double skin facade with floor to ceiling glazing protects the interior from the intense direct sunlight especially during the summer months with louvered vents which exhaust the hot air allowing the interior environment to remain at cool constant temperature.

This double skin also acts as an acoustic buffer to the adjacent buildings of the Plaza and with considerations to the historic neighbourhood of Limassol Old town. The gap between the two glazing layers also functions as an access corridor, connecting the individual chambers while maintaining environmental efficiency.

A glazed steel structure bridge links the venue to the Plaza, creating a visual and physical connection to the surrounding area. Large east and west-facing balconies extend the usable space, serving as outdoor dining areas and break-out spaces for guests to enjoy during events. These terraces enhance the overall experience, offering views and a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor environments.

Special acoustic paneling is incorporated into the interior ceiling, designed to absorb background noise and enhance the auditory experience within the space. This treatment ensures a comfortable acoustic environment for events, whether it’s a conference or a private party.

A series of oval-shaped, dome-like skylights punctuate the ceiling, allowing natural light to filter through and creating a soft, warm ambiance during the day. By night, the skylights provide an intimate atmosphere, bathing the space in a gentle glow. The combination of acoustic design and carefully considered lighting creates a versatile environment that adapts to the mood of the event, whether it's lively or subdued.
