Our client for this project was a young family with both parents as working professionals that lived in a 150sqm. apartment on the seafront and had recently acquired the neighbouring apartment. Their love of the sea and location was evident from the first meeting we had with them and this became the driving factor of the brief to accommodate and transform the 2 properties into one family home that has all the comforts, spaces and luxury of a house.
With increased land prices, this is a common request nowadays and we have demonstrated with our designs that such conversion will not be a compromise but a challenge to achieve excellence.

The main living, dining and kitchen areas share an open plan arrangement south facing towards the sea view. Secondary assisting rooms such as the laundry, pantry room and maids room utilise the back wing of the property and provide sound protection and ensure privacy to the residents from the busy town road behind.

The interior design is a refined and calm open-plan living space, thoughtfully designed to complement its seafront location. A warm, neutral palette of light wood tones, soft beige upholstery, and subtle blue and grey accents creates a calm and cohesive atmosphere throughout. At the heart of the space is a custom-built wooden media wall that serves as both a visual anchor and functional divider between the living and dining areas, while maintaining an open and connected layout.

The main challenge was to maximise the exterior living space by introducing a new steel structure balcony which cantilevers out from the building, merging the boundary between interior and exterior and at the same time bringing you even closer to the spectacular sea view.
Very detailed interior design drawings deliver all the information needed for a speedy and precise construction program.
