HOSPITALITY

Situated at pool level within the Columbia Beach Resort, Bacchus is a fine dining venue conceived as both a destination and an integral part of the resort’s architectural language. The design embraces a restrained classical rhythm, expressed through solid irokko wood panelling, stone detailing, and a generous double-height interior that creates a sense of formality and openness.

Careful attention was paid to materiality and proportion, with a palette that complements the resort’s Mediterranean character while elevating the dining experience. The interplay between indoor and outdoor space is key to the restaurant’s atmosphere—its large glazed openings, framed by timber pergolas and columned structures, open directly onto the pool terrace, allowing for seamless transition between interior elegance and al fresco dining.

Lighting, both architectural and atmospheric, was considered an essential design element. Discreet integrated fittings highlight the columns and panelling on the interior and poolside lanterns enhance the evening setting while maintaining intimacy across the space. Bacchus reflects the resort’s wider ambition to offer sophisticated yet grounded experiences, drawing on local craftsmanship, landscape, and tradition.
